This web site utilises a proactive interrogation system to assist you in choosing an appliance that is suitable for your needs. If you already know the model number that you require, key this into the white box on the main search page to quickly see the dryer's features and price, as well as a picture if available.
The interrogation system offers you the following choices, provided of course that dryers with these features have not been ruled out by your initial selections:
Build
Freestanding dryers are built to stand independently in a kitchen or utility room and do not need to be located in a cabinet system.
Integrated dryers are designed to allow a cabinet door and plinth to be fixed to the front of the unit, enabling it to be built in to an existing fitted kitchen system. They are usually fitted under a work surface and are either part or fully hidden from view. Integrated dryers do not usually require a housing unit or outer casing.
Size
Although there are small differences between manufacturers, 'standard width' dryers are normally 600mm (just over 23 inches) wide.
Any dryer that is obviously narrower than 600mm is referred to as 'compact'. These machines are usually around 500mm in height, as opposed to the normal height of 850mm.
These dryers are typical of those found in the USA and are generally wider than 600mm. They are usually capable of a larger drying load than the average European dryer.
Type
Vented dryers pass hot air through the load and out of the dryer via a ventilation hose or other extraction system.
Condenser dryers operate independently of any external extraction system. They usually condense the water from the heated air into a container that can be emptied manually (or in some cases via the plumbing waste system).
Make
Select your preferred manufacturer, or choose 'Any' to view all the different makes of dryer that otherwise meet your criteria.
Colour
Although manufacturers often use specific and sometimes confusing names to describe their colour options (such as Natural Linen, Zircon and Anthracite), we have simplified all colour names (in the case of the above; to beige, silver and black). It is hoped that this method is of benefit to our customers but please refer to the detail pages or to our qualified sales personal if you are in doubt as to the true colour of a dryer. Please also note that where a photograph of a particular dryer is not available, a picture of the same model in a different colour may be substituted. This does not mean that the model you order will be incorrect.
