We make great efforts to ensure that product details shown on this website are accurate, but like all retailers, we have to rely upon information and stock availability from the manufacturers. We are unable to offer catalogues or brochures as our products and prices fluctuate almost every day.

Our buying department is in constant touch with the relevant manufacturers to bring you the widest choice of products available on the UK market, at the lowest prices. However, we are subject to normal market fluctuations that may push some prices up or down on a daily basis.

Credit Checks
Credit card details as recorded by our customers are verified by Barclays Bank. Occasionally we may need to make contact to verify details that may have been omitted or mistyped before the order can be accepted.

All goods are sold brand new, unblemished and in first-class order (not to be confused with graded goods sometimes sold by competitors at similar prices).
All products are covered by the manufacturers own standard parts and labour warranty, which is not limited in any form and usually extends for one year. Additional cover can be obtained direct from the manufacturer or through us. We can offer extended warranty insurance through Domestic & General, used by major manufacturers, or by RETRA, a well trusted domestic appliance trade association.

Due largely to ties with our parent company, Discount Direct is able to offer expert advice, professional service, competitive prices and the widest choice of goods from most of the UK's major appliance manufacturers.

Huge Warehouse
Our main warehouse is one of the biggest of its kind in the UK – being over 37,500 sq ft – allowing us to stock large volumes of appliances that can be delivered to your home within three to four working days. Items that need to be ordered from the manufacturer take a little longer, but every effort is made to despatch goods as soon as possible.

Deliveries General
Deliveries are usually made by our own fleet of vehicles but goods are sometimes delivered through third-party carriers or by the manufacturers own delivery service direct to your home.

Deliveries
For clarification we deliver London and the Southern Counties dependent upon individual postcode.
We do not deliver to Scotland, Wales, Northern or Southern Ireland.
Our standard service is restricted to unobstructed ground floor properties but we can arrange a two man delivery to upper floors and to basements at no extra cost as long as we are informed. Our two man delivery service at present offered at no extra charge can be used to any address within our normal delivery area possibly subject to a small delay

Pick up your purchase
We encourage items to be collected from one of our warehouses in Sussex.

No Waiting
Our call centre is geared to handing large numbers of calls but our operatives spend as much time as is needed to correctly advise and assist our customers, so if there is a delay in being connected to an advisor, please make use of our new 'call-back' feature that will result in a prompt return call at no charge to yourself. This service operates during normal working hours and can be found on all product description pages throughout this website.

Our selling prices

Payment
The helpful concept of a Recommended Retail Price was abolished in September 1998 on most domestic appliances, so Discount Direct establishes its selling prices by applying a competitive mark up percentage to agreed manufacturers' cost prices. Most major credit cards are acceptable (bar American Express or Diner Club International), or you can pay by sending a cheque payable to 'Discount Direct'.
